Job Context
  • The Project Manager responsible for overall management, coordination and implementation of the project `Assistance for Rohingya Refugees (ARR)` of national organization in Cox`s Bazar District.
  • Contract Primarily up to: 31st Dec`19 with high possibility of Extension.
Job Description / Responsibility
  • Overall management of the project. Develop project annual plan in collaboration with the concern staff at the Head Office.
  • Implementation of the project in close collaboration with the different stakeholders including Govt. authorities and funding communities;
  • Supervise & monitor regular activities of the project.
  • Establish partnerships, networking, linkages and maintain effective communication with different public or private sectors like local GO, NGOs, INGOs, UN Agency, Govt. authorities, development partners, forums, networks, civil society and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate;.
  • Ensure availability and effective use of financial, logistic, material and resources of the project & activities.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget plan and make sure proper use of the project funds; Control the expenses by following organization’s procurement procedures;
  • Provide proper orientation and follow up to the team and the community worker/volunteers and project participants as and when needed.
  • Liaison with update at the head office in the development & concerns of the project.
  • Ensure submission of good quality reports in English to the relevant authorities/ partners/stakeholders and others.
  • Represent the organization in various forums as and when necessary.

  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written in Bangla and English with good Computer knowledge;
  • Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at field level.

Each of these institutions is owned and managed by ASA International and built from the ground up with the support of ASA Bangladesh under a technical service agreement. We are seeking to fill a managerial position in our F&A department with an intelligent, long-term committed and self-motivated energetic individual.
Job Description / Responsibility
  • Preparation/ review of monthly financial reports of a lending company (financial institution) with branch network outside of Bangladesh. Strong and consistent monitoring of key control elements of accounting, finance and reporting issues.
  • Guidance to entities on different policies/standards of accounting and reporting including accrual method, FX conversion, recognition of financial assets/liabilities, IFRS etc.
  • Coordination to external and internal audit function of entities with the internationally reputed audit firm, Ernst &Young, and KPMG.
  • Preparation/review of the annual budget based on functional budget approach applicable to a branch-based financial institution.
  • Covenant reporting, lender reporting, negotiations
  • Analysis of financial reports in view of budgetary targets and key performance indicators applicable for microfinance industries.
  • Guidance to the entities on corporate tax computation, PAYE, withholding and service tax to the entities, research on other country tax laws and application.
  • Setup and or monitoring of internal control policies and procedures with respect to financial reporting.
  • Assist IT team in standardizing chart of accounts for in-house built accounting software
  • Process elimination entries manually and through the system
  • Assist in preparation of financial presentations, research applications, ideas, training sessions, events etc.
  • Dissemination of information, guidance, and enforcement of rules within and outside of the department
  • Special projects assigned by CFO and or HOA
